The hot water in the lagoon comes from the geothermal area in Laugarás through Bláskógabyggð. It is cooled with glacial water from the river Hvítá, which is filtered and purified before flowing into the lagoon. The lagoon is natural and chlorine-free. Together we keep the water clean, and showering before entering the lagoon is mandatory. With these simple steps, we help preserve both the water and the surrounding nature, so that we can enjoy it in harmony with the environment.
